About

I’m a 3rd generation real estate broker and former Designated Broker of a real estate and property management brokerage in Mesa Arizona. I’ve also run for political office and been involved in several political campaigns at the grassroots level. Some campaigns I won and some I lost, with each campaign lessons were learned. In addition to real estate, I’ve owned or been the partner in several small businesses: some succeeding and some failing.

With each failure and success I’ve learned a lesson or two: more so with my the failures than with my success. As I was told if you want to succeed you need to be willing to fail more than others are.

This is my personal blog, a place for me to share with you what I’ve learned from my success and failures and to share my personal thoughts on issues impacting us today.

I write about Personal Growth & Development, Leadership, Fatherhood, Real Estate, and whatever else I think is important in the moment. Sometime I may also toss in an item that doesn’t fit nicely anywhere.

My desire is that you find some bits or pieces of insights from my personal experiences and thoughts that you can apply in your own life. If you find something interesting that helps you, I hope that you will take a minute and pass it along to somebody else.

I post at least once a week and If time permits mayve more

My Biography

In the early years of my life, I had the experience of living in and visiting several foreign countries. As a small child, I learned to speak French and Portuguese when my family lived in Belgium and Brazil

At the age of 11, I had my first real business or at least I thought it was. I had the responsibility of delivering the local newspaper to my neighbors and collecting the cost of the newspaper from them once a month. I learned several important lessons during this time which I have carried forward.

At nineteen, I left home to serve a mission for my church spread the gospel of Jesus Christ: I lived among the people of South Texas and Uruguay. My time as missionary gave me the opportunity to see first hand how other cultures and people live. The experience provided me the opportunity to learn to Love and Respect other people and cultures.

Upon my return, I enrolled in a university and in 1994 I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Later on, I held several elected seats in my political party, both on a state level and local level. I also ran for a seat on the Mesa City Council, which I lost by only 512 votes after going up against one of the largest campaign consulting firms in Arizona.

I’ve taught domestic violence and alcohol counseling in Spanish. Here I learned a few things about human behavior and that people will not change their behaviors unless they want to change. I’ve also been a partner in several commercial businesses again some very successful an not so successful: learning from each failure.

As a 3rd generation real estate broker I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to educate and help property owners market and sell their homes.
